For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

About UsDisciple Audio is, at its heart, a means of allowing God to make us a community of believers in the greater Sacramento area. Founder Rod Brace has been trained in Audio Engineering and is certified to record both Live and in-Studio sessions. The Lord gave him the vision to provide churches in this area with professionally engineered CDs and to create the means by which their congregations could have access to their music and share with others in the larger community. He provides the recording equipment and sessions at a very reasonable rate. He then professionally mixes it down and creates a Master CD. Churches and worship groups that might not otherwise have access to professional audio engineering will no longer be shut out due to cost. We will also provide a Store Front for which these CD's and those made by other studios in our area can be purchased. We are also doing our part in the effort to see that the Body of Christ in the Sacramento area gets more united and informed about local events and needs. We will provide free downloadable Sermons for as many Churches in the area as wish to participate.

   The Homeless Paper Route

How we began

Well, who can know why, one day you have a change of heart, or just have unction for something that you didn’t before. That happened to Geoff-n-Rod and the anonymous writer of the “Homeless Gazette”. An unusual thing happened on the way to feed the homeless, we were late. We planned to pick up some food, make some sandwiches, make some hot chocolate add a few other items and head out finding homeless people to feed in downtown Sacramento. We were shooting for about 6:oo PM and ended out there about 10:30 PM. Well it was a bit of a walk cause we didn’t know where they were. But we were determined to hand out these 25 bags of food. We found a few people out on the streets but most were asleep in doorways etc. we didn’t know if we should wake them up or not. We started praying that the Lord would lead us to some people. We saw someone that turned out not to be homeless but out of the corner of my eye I saw some movement down a dark alley. We went to see and there they were. Must have been a dozen people sleeping along side a building. We walked up to them asked if they were hungry. The response was Oh Yeh! They all got up as we came to them, they were thankful. We shared our faith in Jesus. Told them of things that were prophesied in the bible, and how it relates to them. We prayed for each of them. The whole experience was more than we could have imagined.
Since that night we have been going downtown between 10:00PM & 2:00AM waking up homeless people, Praying, leading them to Christ, feeding them, getting to know them personally. Every time we go it is a totally different experience. We are blessed to have a very wise and Godly man write up our weekly prophetic newspaper, (The Homeless Gazette) aimed at encouraging these down & outers, giving them a glimpse of the end time’s scenario, Letting them know that God is for them, He loves them, they are those whom He has called.
These people have a newspaper, they are becoming disciples, and they love us and have come to expect us to be there. They are blessed, but we are more blessed, we have learned a very well known secret – (Mat 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’)   How to touch God!

I share these things with you to inform you of a growing need, and to encourage you in your walk. We have met 20 to 30 new people every week. We have started adding an additional 5-to10 bags of food a week, the winter times are here and some of these people don’t even have a coat. We would like to buy some 8x10 tarps, blankets, sleeping bags, coats, sweaters, etc. to help keep them dry when it rains.

As of now we are receiving free bread from a bread shop, all kinds of pastries from a bakery. We are looking in to getting some deals on other items. But the cost is growing and we would like to share this blessing with those who feel called. If you would like to donate any thing at all, you can hit the pay pal donate button or you can call Rod at 916-203-4204 or email us at homeless@discipleaudio.com.

One last word about this ministry.
God has a plan for these people; they are blessed to know their need. As we travel through the streets we notice the thousands of people that do not know their need. They all need to be saved, but so many people have no time to listen or receive. Very seldom do we run across a homeless person that will not allow us to pray with them, in fact some of them join in and pray for us.
We have noticed that some of the people that we have prayed for are not around any more. (That’s a good thing) We are asking God to provide shelter, all there daily needs, and family reconciliation. We have learned much about these individuals. Every week we yearn for more boldness to have the power of God flow through us. We use their daily need as a way of meeting their eternal need. Our message is clear – Turn your heart toward God, ask Him for help, Jesus died for your sins, ask for forgiveness, repent from your sins, He will deliver you from your troubles. He loves you. They see His love coming through us. Our goal is not to deliver them from the streets, it’s to tell them of the ONE who can deliver them from hell, and give them eternal life.
